Labour Friends of Israel

People tend to vote Labour on the grounds that they are the party of the people, the workers of England, Scotland, Ulster and Wales. They do not vote for them because they are traitors or pandering to an enemy power such as Israel. This article about the Labour Friends of Israel comes from the Wikipedia. The politician comes through with the favourable law or what ever and gets the very well paid job later. Proving the connection is more difficult. That is why it is easy to get away with it.

Do not make the mistake of thinking that the Tories are any better or that the Liberals do not have their tongues hanging out in their desperation for the spoils of victory.

Every so often Labour Friends of Israel pays tribute to Richard Crossman, an early activist with the British pressure group and one of the best known British politicians of the mid-20th century. The tributes to the late cabinet minister are not entirely informative. One detail that tends to be omitted is that, when it came to Palestine, Crossman advocated genocide.

Crossman was probably the Zionist movement’s biggest supporter in the Labour Party from the 1940s onwards. He was later a minister in Harold Wilson’s 1960s government, becoming editor of the New Statesman magazine after his retirement from frontline politics.
