Children, given British aid contracts worth £104

Helle Thorning-Schmidt – who
is married to Labour MP Stephen Kinnock and was appointed head of its
international branch, based in London, earlier this year – a pay and pension
package worth £246,750.
The charity’s
accounts show 114 staff receiving more than $120,000 (£96,150), an almost
fivefold increase since 2011. But a spokesman said this was due to currency
fluctuations and housing allowances, with only 46 staff on salaries above
£76,364.

British Government Gives Another £5 Million To Black Pop Group

have picked up a new £5.2million bill to fund a talk show for Ethiopia's

Merkel Attacking Free Speech Again

illegal in Germany within 24 hours, following pressure from German
authorities who have become concerned about an increasing number of
racist comments being posted on social media.
The companies committed on Tuesday to removing “illegal content

"Complaints will be examined by specialist teams. And the

The three internet giants and the Justice Ministry said in a joint
statement on Tuesday that the social networking sites will also make it
easier for users and anti-racism groups to flag hate speech posted
online. Maas added that a monitoring mechanism will be put in place to
review whether the system is working.
The justice minister stressed that the measures are not intended to
curtail free speech [ He is lying of
course - Editor ], but rather to ensure German law is applied online.
The move follows pressure put on the US companies in Germany to take
action after the number of xenophobic and
racist comments has surged

Al Sweady Inquiry into claims troops tortured Iraqis and misled a body

Shiner admitted nine allegations of acting without integrity, including
that he made 'unsolicited direct approaches' to potential clients
through a fixer, understood to be Abu Jamal.
Mr Shiner
admitted authorising 'financial benefits' – described as 'sweeteners' [

went before the Al-Sweady inquiry had been found.
He also
admitted acting recklessly by claiming at a press conference in February

The
Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal (SDT) heard that Mr Shiner's lawyer had
submitted a letter making the admissions on the eve of the hearing [

Tabachnik, putting the case against Mr Shiner for the SRA, said: 'Even
on the basis of his own admissions, Professor Shiner accepts this
