Detroit Defaulting On $2.5 Billion Debt [ 18 June 2013 ]

Fox News is polite enough not to explain the causes. Detroit is dying as people flee the blacks. The car industry is fading away. Work is going; people ditto. It is Multiculturalism in action. Detroit is becoming like Liberia.

 

Adults do get taken into care; so do children. Parents are sometimes feckless, reckless, a danger to them and theirs. The cause can be government meddling. One answer; it sounds well meaning answer is Adult Placement. It has winners and losers. One of the latter was always going to be the tax payer. The winner is the carer. The tax advantages are very useful. They are good enough to tempt a lot of people to take advantage and, this is not incidental vote Labour because that is the goose that lays the golden egg for their kind of people.

The pay off is laid out in a leaflet called HMRC 236. It is a very useful exemption from tax on income up to £55 thousand which is a good deal more than the average working man ever gets.

This exemption does not include private fostering arrangements. So if you receive payments from the parent of a child for looking after them you will not qualify for the Income Tax exemption. Private foster carers should calculate their profits in the normal way.

Government employees or the "Charitable" get the exemption. The rest of us do not. This is bribery for Labour voters. The exemption is £10,000 + £250 per week for up three children. Add in the normal personal allowance of £6,475 to get a grand total of 55,475 before you have to pay a penny. You also get a heavily discounted National Insurance at the rate of £2.20 per week. One advantage not mentioned by HMRC is that it gives Paedophiles excellent opportunities for perverting children.
