Treason At Maastricht

We were betrayed by Francis Maude and Douglas Hurd when they signed  the Maastricht Treaty on 7 February 1992. If you doubt look at #Treason at Maastricht: Destruction of the Nation State, written by #Rodney Atkinson & #Norris McWhirter, two patriotic Englishmen.

It was not a first time for Treason and far from being the last. The Maastricht web site alleged that Hurd and Maude signed with the full powers of Her Majesty's Government. They did not. They used power they did not have. They acted Ultra Vires  [ in excess of their powers ] by breaching their Oath of Office; they swore as follows:-

You will to your uttermost bear Faith and Allegiance to the Queen’s Majesty; and will assist and defend all civil and temporal Jurisdictions, Pre-eminences, and Authorities, granted to Her Majesty and annexed to the Crown by Acts of Parliament, or otherwise, against all Foreign Princes, Persons, Prelates, States, or Potentates.   And generally in all things you will do as a faithful and true Servant ought to do to Her Majesty
And that includes the European Union. If you think Blair's mob are any less treacherous than the Tories it would make sense to see a good psychiatrist.

Given the constitutional convention of Cabinet collective responsibility all of them betrayed England by following Ted Heath in this utterly fundamental matter. It seems that the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties allows for Treaties being made invalid by external forces but not, sadly internal corruption.

Rodney Atkinson
QUOTE
With Norris McWhirter, he laid misprison of treason charges against Francis Maude and Douglas Hurd for signing the Maastricht Treaty.[citation needed] The case was eventually quashed by the Attorney General, Nicholas Lyell, while the House of Lords was in recess, sitting in his own Judgement (as the government's lawyer) and saying [ claiming/alleging - delete to taste ] there was no case to answer.[citation needed] Atkinson subsequently co-authored the book Treason at Maastricht, with Norris McWhirter.

You are fully at liberty to believe that Lyell acted honestly in alleging that there was no case to answer. Equally you might feel that he is Complicit i.e. a co-conspirator in Treason or even an accessory after the fact.

English Constitutional Law & Treason At Maastricht
Is a rather more authoritative look at the matter.

Treason at Maastricht: Destruction of the Nation State
Deals more with the criminal aspects of political actions in the United Kingdom. Norris McWhirter and Rodney Atkinson, the authors brought criminal cases charging treason against Hurd and Maude to English courts. They were dismissed without a proper explanation. The men who make up the legal system are part of the problem.

QUOTE
Rodney Eric Bainbridge Atkinson (born 1948) is a British Eurosceptic conservative academic, political and economic commentator, journalist and author. Atkinson was formerly a lecturer at the University of Mainz, and has also worked as a merchant banker and government adviser........

In 2000, he narrowly lost the UKIP leadership election, by 16 votes, to Jeffrey Titford MEP. Atkinson left UKIP shortly afterwards, along with 200 supporters, accusing then Party Chairman Nigel Farage MEP and eurosceptic journalist Christopher Booker of conducting a “dirty tricks” campaign against him. He also accused the party of being “infiltrated by extremists.”

With Norris McWhirter successfully laid misprison of treason charges against Francis Maude and Douglas Hurd for signing the Maastricht Treaty. The case was eventually quashed by the Attorney General, Nicholas Lyle, while the House of Lords was in recess, sitting in his own Judgement (as the Government's lawyer) and saying there was no case to answer. Atkinson subsequently co-authored the book Treason at Maastricht, with Norris McWhirter.

This Wiki write up does not correspond to Treason at Maastricht: Destruction of the Nation State, Mr. Atkinson's book. He does not seem to have gotten leaned on.

Norris McWhirter
QUOTE
Norris Dewar McWhirter, CBE (12 August 1925 – 19 April 2004) was a writer, political activist, co-founder of the Freedom Association, and a television presenter. He and his twin brother, Ross, were known internationally for the Guinness Book of Records, a book they wrote and annually updated together between 1955 and 1975. After Ross McWhirter's assassination by the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA), Norris McWhirter carried on alone as editor.

He was an active member of the Conservative Party in the early 1960s and fought, unsuccessfully, to recapture Orpington in the 1964 and 1966 UK general elections after its loss to the Liberals in the 1962 by-election.

Together with his brother Ross, he founded the "National Association for Freedom", later the Freedom Association, in the 1970s. This organization initiated legal challenges against the trade union movement in the UK, Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) and the European Economic Community (EEC) in Brussels, and he was an active supporter of UKIP.

Ross McWhirter was a constant critic of British government policy in Northern Ireland, and called for a "tougher" response by the British Army against Irish republicans. Ross McWhirter was shot dead by the Provisional Irish Republican Army in 1975 at his home after offering a reward for information leading to the apprehension of those carrying out a bombing campaign in London at the time.

Norris McWhirter was a member of the Secretariat of the anti-communist European Freedom Campaign, established in London at an Inaugural Rally at Westminster Central Hall on 10 December 1988. This group's coordinating committee consisted almost exclusively of representatives from countries behind the Iron Curtain.
