Euphemisms

Euphemisms are soft words for ugly realities such as Affirmative Action and Diversity Hires. The opposite is Loaded Language.

Euphemism ex Wiki
A euphemism is a generally innocuous word or expression used in place of one that may be found offensive or suggest something unpleasant.[1] Some euphemisms are intended to amuse; while others use bland, inoffensive terms for things the user wishes to downplay. Euphemisms are used to refer to taboo topics (such as disability, sex, excretion, and death) in a polite way, or to mask profanity.[2]

There are three antonyms of euphemism: dysphemism, cacophemism, and loaded language. Dysphemism can be either offensive or merely ironic; cacophemism is deliberately offensive. Loaded language evokes a visceral response beyond the meaning of the words......

Evolution
Euphemisms may be formed in a number of ways. Periphrasis, or circumlocution, is one of the most common: to "speak around" a given word, implying it without saying it. Over time, circumlocutions become recognized as established euphemisms for particular words or idea
To alter the pronunciation or spelling of a taboo word (such as a swear word) to form a euphemism is known as taboo deformation, or "minced oath". In American English, words that are unacceptable on television such as fuck, may be represented by deformations such as freak, even in children's cartoons.[7] Some examples of rhyming slang may serve the same purpose: to call a person a berk sounds less offensive than to call a person a cunt, though berk is short for Berkeley Hunt, which rhymes with cunt.[8]..........

A euphemism may often devolve into a taboo word itself, through the linguistic process known as pejoration or semantic change described by W.V.O. Quine,[13] and more recently dubbed the "euphemism treadmill" by Harvard professor Steven Pinker.[14] For instance, Toilet is an 18th-century euphemism, replacing the older euphemism House-of-Office, which in turn replaced the even older euphemisms privy-house or bog-house.[15] In the 20th century, where the words lavatory or toilet were deemed inappropriate (e.g. in the United States), they were sometimes replaced with bathroom or water closet, which in turn became restroom, W.C., or washroom.

Affirmative Action ex Wiki
Affirmative action
(known as employment equity in Canada, reservation in India and Nepal, and positive discrimination in the UK) is the policy of favoring members of a disadvantaged group who currently suffer or historically have suffered from discrimination within a culture.[1][2][3][4] Often, these people are disadvantaged for historical reasons, such as oppression or slavery.[5] Historically and internationally, support for affirmative action has sought to achieve goals such as bridging inequalities in employment and pay, increasing access to education, promoting diversity, and redressing apparent past wrongs, harms, or hindrances. The nature of affirmative action policies varies from region to region. Some countries, such as India, use a quota system, whereby a certain percentage of government jobs, political positions, and school vacancies must be reserved for members of a certain group. In some other regions where quotas are not used, minority group members are given preference or special consideration in selection processes.

Diversity Hires
Is a phrase that started life as a Euphemism then rapidly fell out of favour because its meaning was too obvious for Americans. See e.g. Facebook recruiters get 'points' for diverse hires. It never made it on to the euphemism treadmill. It means people hired by outfits that want Blacks, brown or even Asian employees to make them look good in the eyes of the influential. This means taking them on because they are less competent than the rest of us i.e. White Men. It seems that Homosexual White Men Do Not Qualify As Diversity Hires because they are not incompetent. Pointing these things out is Politically Incorrect & also true. An alternative term is
Affirmative Action. There is more on this at Words as Propaganda Tools. A direct definition is in the Urban Dictionary at   https://www.urbandictionary.com/author.php?author=Owen%20Jones%20will%20save%20humanity

Loaded Language ex Wiki
In rhetoric, loaded language (also known as loaded terms or emotive language) is wording that attempts to influence an audience by using appeal to emotion or stereotypes.[1][2][3] Such wording is also known as high-inference language or language persuasive techniques.

Loaded words and phrases have strong emotional implications and involve strongly positive or negative reactions beyond their literal meaning. For example, the phrase tax relief refers literally to changes that reduce the amount of tax citizens must pay. However, use of the emotive word relief implies that all tax is an unreasonable burden to begin with. Examples of loaded language are "You want to go to the mall, don't you?" and "Do you really want to associate with those people?".

Affirmative Action
Is preferential treatment for minorities [ an American euphemism for efnick ], usually in employment or academic admissions, also called reverse discrimination, or in the U.K. positive discrimination.

Affirmative action is in fact Racism and the opposite of equal opportunities. It could be justified somewhat if the propagandists told us that lesser breeds would become competent and civilized then gave us a cut off date or some indication of one. They have not. It is their intention that this boondoggle will run for as long as they can get away with it. It is in fact subversion carried out by post Marxist politicians throughout English speaking countries. For something on their motivation see Antonio Gramsci; he was the chief theoretician of the communist party.
