The same President who alluded yesterday to taking a closer look at

leader who wiped tears from his eyes over the deaths of American children
yesterday is the same one who said, “I have two words for you: Predator

Killed in the attack were Steven Mathew Forsyth, 45, and Cindy Ann Yuille,
54, A 15-year-old girl, identified as Kristina Shevchenko, was seriously wounded
but was expected to survive. Of course, the Obamamedia is in full support of
even harsher gun control laws and it should come as no surprise that they would
suppress any story which provides proof that lawfully armed citizens do
prevent crimes and save lives.

-A 1996 University of Chicago

concluded that states which passed concealed carry laws reduced their murder
rates by 8.5 percent, rapes by 5 percent, aggravated assaults by 7 percent, and
robbery by 3 percent.
-According to the
National Safety Council, with guns being used 2.5 million times a year in
self defence against criminals, firearms are actually used more than 80 times
more often to protect lives, rather than to take lives.
-A 1979 Justice Department study entitled
Rape Victimization in American Cities, concluded that of more than
32,000 attempted rapes, 32 percent were actually committed. But when a woman was
armed with a gun or knife, only 3 percent of the attempted rapes were actually
committed.

study found that 57 percent of felons agreed that "criminals are more
worried about meeting an armed victim than they are about running the police."

registration laws. Sandy Hook Elementary was a gun-free zone, just as virtually
every major mass shooting location in recent memory has been. The real solutions
here lie in better protection for schoolchildren, either from armed guards or
trained administrators, not in more pie-in-the-sky legislation. Lanza broke at
least five laws before he even began shooting. None of them stopped him.
A real discussion of what to do about mass shootings would begin with three
competing values: rights, risk and reward. First, the rights: Americans have the
right to bear arms, not only for self-defence, but in preservation of a free
society.........
But this is not a discussion the left wants to have......... It's insulting
to the murdered children, who deserve more than to be used as a political chip
in an attempt to ram through an ill-conceived agenda.

maximum term of imprisonment of five years and a fine of up to $250,000, the

Noah Pozner is one of 20 first-graders killed on Dec. 14 at the Sandy Hook
Elementary School in Newtown. Suspected gunman Adam Lanza killed 27 people in
all before turning a gun on himself, authorities said.

actually rather instructive. David Gregory intended to demonstrate what he
regards as the absurdity of America’s lax gun laws. Instead, he’s demonstrating
the ever greater absurdity of America’s non-lax laws. His investigation,
prosecution, and a sentence of 20–30 years with eligibility for parole after ten
(assuming Mothers Against High-Capacity Magazines don’t object) would teach a
far more useful lesson than whatever he thought he was doing by waving that clip
under LaPierre’s nose.
