Plastic Pollution is the great issue of our time, in this foul year of Our Lord 2018. That is what we are told so it must be true or must it? NO! It means that the Lunatic Fringe is in action again. Do they know what they are talking about? A degree in Latin guarantees deep seated ignorance of earth sciences etc.

Plastic Pollution Paying Off For Tax Man And Greenies
[ 24 November 2017 ]
Philip Hammond announced a consultation that will consider how taxes or
charges on single-use plastics could cut down on waste – an issue on which
the Daily Mail has campaigned. His pledge follows a shocking episode of the
BBC’s Blue Planet II in which the death of a pilot whale calf was blamed
on chemical contamination of its mother’s milk, with plastics probably
playing a role in the contamination.
Plastic Pollution Story Marketed By BBC Television
[

In the final episode of the BBC’s groundbreaking wildlife
documentary
Blue Planet II, which airs this Sunday, the true scale of
man’s impact on the planet is laid bare. The filmmakers show the horrifying death of an albatross,
whose gut was punctured by a plastic toothpick, as well as the
contents of chick’s stomach - a lethal cocktail of polythene
bags and plastic food wrappers. Elsewhere an autopsy on dolphin showed that the young female
had high levels of man-made toxins in her tissues, which
probably led to her death. Dolphins are at the top of the food chain and experts now
believe that adult animals are ingesting so much
plastic that the calf may have been contaminated by her own
mother’s milk.

$180 Billion Investment In Plastic Threatens World Says The Guardian
[ 28 December 2017 ] Fossil fuel companies are among those who have ploughed more than $180bn
since 2010 into new “cracking” facilities that will produce the raw material
for everyday plastics from packaging to bottles, trays and cartons. The new facilities – being built by corporations like Exxon Mobile
Chemical and Shell Chemical – will help fuel a 40% rise in plastic
production in the next decade, according to experts, exacerbating the
plastic pollution crisis that
scientist warn already risks “near permanent pollution of the earth.”................... Greenpeace UK’s senior oceans campaigner Louise Edge said any increase in
the amount of plastic ending up in the oceans would have a disastrous
impact. “We are already producing more disposable plastic than we can deal with,
more in the last decade than in the entire twentieth century, and
millions of tonnes of it are ending up in our oceans.”

90% of Ocean Plastic Disaster Caused by Third World Pollution
[ 10 April 2019 ]
The study, titled “Export of Plastic Debris by Rivers into the Sea,” was
prepared by two experts employed at the UFZ (which is funded by the German
government as is its official advisor on environmental matters. The report revealed that every year, “millions of tons of plastic debris
ends up in the sea—a global environmental problem with unforeseeable
ecological consequences.”............... The researchers have also calculated that the ten river systems with the
highest plastic loads (eight of them are in Asia and two in Africa) — areas
in which hundreds of millions of people live, in some cases— are responsible
for around 90 percent of the global input of plastic into the sea. From this study it is clear once again that, just like air pollution, the
greatest threat to the world’s environment does not come from the white
world, but rather from the nonwhite world. Continued denial of the racial factor as the primary cause of world
events is the real reason why the “experts” can never arrive at a
satisfactory answer of “why” things happen, and also what is needed to stop
these things happening. Until racial realism is restored in world science, the problem will
continue, and the world will continue its downward spiral.
Plastic Pollution ex Wiki
Plastic pollution can afflict land, waterways and oceans. Living organisms,
particularly
marine animals, can be harmed either by mechanical effects, such as
entanglement in plastic objects or problems related to ingestion of plastic
waste, or through exposure to chemicals within plastics that interfere with
their physiology. Humans are also affected by plastic pollution, such as through
disruption of various
hormonal
mechanisms. As of 2018, about 380 million tonnes of plastic is produced worldwide each
year. From the 1950s up to 2018, an estimated 6.3 billion tonnes of plastic has
been produced worldwide, of which an estimated 9% has been recycled and another
12% has been incinerated.[6]
In the UK alone, more than 5 million tonnes of plastic are consumed each year,
of which only an estimated one-quarter is recycled, with the remainder going to
landfills.[citation
needed] This large amount of plastic waste inevitably
enters the environment, with studies suggesting that the bodies of 90% of
seabirds contain plastic debris.[7][8]
In some areas there have been significant efforts to reduce the prominence of
plastic pollution, through reducing plastic consumption and promoting
plastic recycling.[9]
Some researchers suggest that by 2050 there could be more plastic than fish
in the oceans by weight.[10]
Great Pacific Garbage Patch ex Wiki
The patch is characterized by exceptionally high relative
pelagic concentrations of
plastic,
chemical sludge, and other
debris
that have been trapped by the currents of the
North Pacific Gyre.[3]
Despite the common public image of islands of floating rubbish, its low
density (4 particles per cubic meter) prevents detection by
satellite imagery, or even by casual boaters or divers in the area. It
consists primarily of an increase in suspended, often microscopic, particles
in the upper
water column.

truth about Plastic Pollution leaked out in

It told us that

Plastic pollution is the accumulation of
plastic
products in the
environment that adversely affects
wildlife,
wildlife habitat and humans.[1][2]
Plastics that act as
pollutants
are categorized into micro-, meso-, or macro debris, based on size.[3]
Plastics are inexpensive and durable, and as a result levels of plastic
production by humans are high.[4]
Moreover, the chemical structure of most plastics renders them resistant to many
natural processes of
degradation and as a result they are slow to degrade.[5]
Together, these two factors have led to a high prominence of plastic
pollution
in the environment.
PS
"some researchers suggest" is what the

Weasel words, a technique for feeding in an unsubstantiated lie. That is
what they are doing here.
The Great Pacific garbage patch, also described as the Pacific
trash vortex, is a
gyre
of
marine debris particles in the central
North Pacific Ocean discovered between 1950 and 1988. It is located
roughly between
135°W to
155°W and
35°N to
42°N.[1]
The collection of plastic, floating trash halfway between Hawaii and
California[2]
extends over an indeterminate area of widely varying range depending on the
degree of
plastic concentration used to define the affected area.
QUOTE
Some 2.7 million metric tons of plastic make their way into the oceans each
year and a new study finds the trove of trash comes from 1,656 rivers.......... Several institutions in the
Netherlands and one in
Germany found these systems contribute to up to 80 percent of all
plastics dumped in oceans, with urban areas of South East Asia and West
Africa identified as the main hot spots for plastic
emission..................
